In this photo from May 6, 1965, the Ohio State AFROTC (U.S. Air Force ROTC) girls’ auxiliary marches at the annual President’s Corps Day Review on the Oval.
Dispatch photographer William Blackstone won first-place honors for the photo in a National Press Photographers contest — an accomplishment almost as great as getting such a large group to march in high-heeled unison across a soft, spring lawn.
